Experience the finest English traditions of service and the warmest hospitality in a superb setting. Our picturesque location at the foot of the Malvern Hills makes us perfect for a relaxing weekend break, longer holiday, or as a base from which to plan your excursions to the local places of interest.
Set in the heart of Malvern, The Abbey still has an impressive Victorian facade, much of which is hidden beneath the Virginia creepers that give it its unique appearance. The building was commissioned during the growth of this ancient spa town, and continues its long history of providing the highest standard of service and accommodation for travellers to the area.
Each of our well appointed and individually decorated rooms offers all the facilities that todays travellers expects, including en-suite bathroom, TV, radio, hospitality tray (tea/coffee) and direct dial telephone.
The Priory View Restaurant serves the finest traditional English foods, superbly prepared and served by our experienced and friendly staff.
Sink into one of the luxurious sofas in the Lounge area, or you can relax by the fire and unwind with a drink in the Priory Bar, where light-lunches are also available.
Malvern, and the famous Malvern Hills boast many attractions for you to visit, and much of the surrounding area is classified as an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. There are several National Trust properties near by and Eastnor Castle, one of several scenic castles in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside, is only a short drive away.
For those looking for a perfect venue for that special occasion we will happily cater for wedding receptions, anniversary or private party.
We also have extensive meeting and conference facilities for that confidential meeting, presentation or corporate event for up to 300 delegates.

Good stuff: Room, view, restaurant
Bad stuff: No heating was available in the room.
Non-smoking room should not have a strong cigarette/cigar smell, which unfortunately it did.
Evening meal quality fair, not excellent. No non-sugar sweetener available, in spite of asking.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: A potentially excellent stay, marred by the strong tobacco smell in the room. Complained, but only offered freshener spray, which hid the problem for 15 - 30 mins at a time. Staff unable to provide an alternative room.
The housekeeper would have know of the smell in the room when cleaning earlier in the day. He/she should have reported the problem (it was, after all, booked as a non-smoking room), and the problem should have been dealt with prior to our arrival at 6 pm. This relates to room 322.

Good stuff: We arrived at 1.15am because of a motorway hold-up and the night porter was very helpful. The trainee on reception was also pleasant, though her colleague wasn't. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have tea and biscuits.
Bad stuff: The shower head swung round after turning it on and flooded the bathroom. There was no way to make it stay in place.
Please provide fresh fruit for breakfast! Even motorway service stations have fresh fruit now. The room was very hot. The hall carpet was rather tatty.
Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The hotel is very attractive from the outside but a bit run down inside. There wasn't uniform politeness among the staff, though some were very helpful. It was full of elderly people on coach tours and wasn't really geared to the business traveller - the receptionist got shirty when we were in a hurry to check out. However, it's pretty cheap so over all, not bad value.
