An elegant and stylish Gastro-Pub set in the heart of rural Wiltshire. Dating back to 1750 this award winning establishment offers superb food and comfortable, relaxed accommodation. Ideally placed for excursions to many of the local places of interest including the ancient mounds and henges that have made this area world famous.

Our beautifully restored 18th century coaching Inn was for hundreds of years known as the Grosvenor Arms. But when the building was extensively refurbished and restored to its present condition the name The Angel, from a medieval Inn that stood on the site prior to 1750, was also restored. Offering many of the original features, wooden floors, ceiling beams and huge stone fireplaces, much of the history has been retained but all this marries seamlessly with the contemporary elegance of the modern brasserie.
As a small establishment we pride ourselves on providing a service to our guests that is second to none. Professional and experienced staff provide a friendly, personal and attentive service throughout your stay, ensuring that your every need is catered for.
There are 7 well proportioned and comfortable twin and double rooms, all with en-suite, TV, telephone and hospitality tray (tea/coffee).
In the popular bar area you can sink into one of the comfortable leather armchairs or sofas, relax and unwind, while your there you can enjoy a pint of real ale, or one of our fine wines from our well stocked cellar.
In the restaurant you can select from an award winning menu, and your meal will be perfectly prepared and presented by our experienced staff.
There are many places of interest for you to visit during your stay. The henges, including the world famous Stonehenge, of Salisbury plain, Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow and Salisbury Cathedral with the tallest spire in England, are all within easy driving distance.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations must be cancelled 1 day in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged. The cancellation policy may vary per room type; please check the room description as well. COMMENTS: The inn requests that all bookings are guaranteed with a credit card or confirmed in writing with a deposit. The hotel is closed between 15:00 and 17:00, therefore check-in must be before or after these times. Please also note that the inn does not serve food on a Sunday evening.
