Set in the small town of Wantage on the edge of the Lambourn Downs we have a superb location for those who want to travel around the region either on business or to explore the rich diversity of attractions that this beautiful part of Oxfordshire has to offer.

The many additions and improvements that have been made to this superb old building have created a unique ambiance that enhances its original charm and character. It was originally built as a coaching inn in the 16th century and has witnessed many changes, both in and around it, during its five hundred year history. Countless thousands of people have stayed here before you, some of them famous, some of them infamous, and they have all help to enhance the atmosphere of this magnificent building.
