Our magnificent Grade II listed building occupies an elevated position overlooking this superb area and offers our guests a wonderful setting for a relaxing weekend break, or a base for travelling around the region.

A superb setting for our superb establishment. Set just a short distance away from the famous Rutland Water, a conservation area and an area of exquisite natural beauty, our welcoming hotel provides a wonderful environment to enjoy a relaxing, away from it all break, where you can do very little - as you unwind and recharge your batteries or, if you're so inclined, you can make use of our many leisure facilities, including sun-bed, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, heated indoor swimming pool, fitness centre with fully equipped gym, indoor tennis and squash courts, snooker table, croquet lawn and pitch and putt course. If you are a water sports enthusiast there are many to choose from nearby.
We have 65 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and well equipped single, double and family rooms that have all of the facilities that travellers have come to expect in their accommodation, each room benefits from stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower and complimentary toiletries; a work area with desk, lamp and direct dial telephone; central heating; windows that you can open; trouser press; iron and ironing board; hairdryer; radio alarm clock; colour TV with satellite and movie channels; smoke detectors and tea and coffee making facilities.

Good stuff: Luxury appartment - excellent surroundings

Bad stuff: Reception staff a little unfriendly. Walk to restaurant.

Overall: Due to an on-line blip, our booking had been cancelled, but after some to-ing and fro-ing, we were given a luxury apartment, which made up for the unfriendly reception staff. Dinner was excellent and very good value. My husband had a wonderful massage in the spa and all in all our stay was lovely.

Good stuff: Clean, well presented rooms in a quiet setting.

Overall: Ideal place to stay when visiting Rutland Water and the surrounding area. The incredibly cheap price of the room did not reflect the standard of the hotel by any means and I was delighted with the visit - I will definitely stay again, this time for a longer period!
