Our wonderful establishment can trace its history back to its beginnings as a house, over two hundred and sixty years ago. Originally built in 1760 many changes have taken place but in recent times great care has been taken to ensure that its charm and character has not been diminished. It has been lovingly and sympathetically restored, with the modern technology and facilities that are expected by todays traveller being installed in a way that enhances, rather than detracts from the original charm of the building.
With 23 wonderfully well proportioned and elegantly decorated single, twin and double rooms that are all comfortably furnished in a period style, with some rooms having magnificent four poster beds, perfect for that special occasion or for those eternal romantics amongst us. All rooms have a stylish en suite bathrooms with bath or shower and complimentary toiletries; remote control colour TV; mini bar; direct dial telephone; internet access and hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. Our River View doubles and luxurious Deluxe rooms have additional facilities such as sofa beds which may be made up and makes them ideal for families. We also provide cots, high chairs and a baby listening service.

We have a wonderful dinning room that is elegantly decorated and full of charm and sophistication, it provides an elegant, yet relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy the exquisite menu that is freshly prepared and perfectly presented by our talented Chef, whatever you want, from a light snack to a full three course meal can be provided with equal ease, whatever you choose to dine on our well stocked cellar will have the ideal wine to compliment your meal perfectly.
We can cater for weddings and private parties for up to 60 guests in style and comfort, we also have meeting and conferencing facilities in our Garden Suite, that looks out over the lawn.
