Good stuff: Within walking distance of the town. Clean & tidy. Courteous staff.

Bad stuff: Minor maintenance of equipment in the rooms - attention to detail. TV was not working properly. Showerhead, mixer tap on bath & toilet handle broken. Very noisy extractor fan in bathroom. Toilet seat would not stay up. Slightly damaged furniture. Wallpaper coming off ceiling. Cobwebs on window-ledge. Rusty metal veranda.

Overall: Despite the minor problems with maintenance & repairs, my overall impression was favourable. Ample car parking. Friendly staff. The room was spacious, clean & tidy. Ample towels, soap etc. Bed was very comfortable. Homely informal atmosphere throughout the hotel. Self-service breakfast was exceptionally good. Food was prepared to a high standard. A very restful stay.
