Situated just a few miles south of the City of Newcastle in the town of Washington our pleasant and friendly staff will greet you when you arrive at our warm and welcoming establishment. Our modern hotel is just a few miles to the south of Newcastle and with convenient access to all of the major roads the City is only minutes away, as are South Shields, Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead and many other towns and cities, making us ideally placed for the business traveller. For those visiting for pleasure there are many interesting and exciting attractions, the Metro centre in Newcastle is one of the largest and best shopping centres in Europe, St James' Park, the home of Newcastle United is only three miles away and Segedunum Roman Fort, baths and museum is also just three miles, these are just a few of the places we recommend you visit.
All of our 79 well proportioned and wonderfully comfortable rooms are decorated in a contemporary style and have a stylish en-suite bathroom; hairdryer; central heating; opening windows; a work area with desk, lamp and direct dial telephone with modem connection; alarm clock radio; colour TV with satellite channels; smoke detectors; security chain and tea, coffee making facilities.
The restaurant serves an extensive range of traditional French and English dishes, served in relaxed and informal surrounding.

Good stuff: Comfortable bed and clean bathroom with shampoo!

Bad stuff: Dining room for breakfast, althought the food and service were fine. Only used the dining room once for breakfast.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: We were very pleased with the accommodation. It was very good value for money and we would use it again. There were no frills but all essentials were provided for, extra pillows, hairdryer, shampoo and soap. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean and well appointed. Although close to a busy road it was quiet.
