When we were planning to refurbish our magnificent Victorian hotel, in the spring of 2003, we decided to ask our guests what they considered important when they made their choice of accommodation, we then integrated their answers into the project. The most popular answer was a comfortable bed and peaceful atmosphere, allowing a good nights sleep. Then came a modern, well equipped bathroom with a good shower and quality toiletries; good quality in room entertainment; a work area with desk, lamp, direct dial telephone and internet connection and finally excellent value for money. We are pleased to say that you will now find all of these, and much more, in all of our rooms.
Built in the Victorian era, much of the original style and character of the building still remains, although where necessary it has been carefully combined with stylish, contemporary design to bring it into the 21st century.
A perfect example of this is the superb Bistro4DQ restaurant. We have retained the best features of the original deign but the old decoration and stuffy furniture has been replaced, and the modern, contemporary atmosphere that we have created is perfect for enjoying the exquisite dishes that our chef creates from the finest, locally grown ingredients. Why not allow our experienced staff to recommend the perfect bottle of wine to compliment your meal perfectly.
At the end of a long day we provide a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing lounge for you to sit and enjoy a drink as you chat with friends, reflect on your day or just unwind before retiring to bed.
