The coaching house was originally built on the site of the "Bunch of Grapes". There's s deep history which includes the "Forest Club" meetings which were held in "Scott's Ha" - be sure to ask the hosts about this.
We are close enough to enjoy the Eilden Hills which are beautiful for walking, visit Wallace Monument, Trimontium and perhaps have a round of golf with friends.
There are plenty of heritage sites and places of interest and with just a half hour drive you can soon be in the dynamic city of Edinburgh. Treat yourself to a day of shopping, see the Castle, medieval old town, harbour and the Royal Yacht Britannia.
After a busy day out and about, return to the charm and tranquillity of the County for a good night's rest.
