This beautiful, elegant and impressive country house, built at the turn of the last century, has been tastefully restored and carefully extended to keep pace with its increasing popularity. You will find a mix of the original building with new features that have been sympathetically added to maintain the original style; perhaps the most impressive of these is the magnificent glass Victorian-style conservatory, that runs the entire length of the original building, and offers wonderful panoramic views over the Wiltshire countryside.
The rooms are richly decorated and furnished with all the modern conveniences you would expect from an establishment of this obviously superior quality, and if you want that extra touch of extravagance some rooms are equipped with magnificent four-poster beds.
With 30 acres of attractive grounds for you to relax and unwind in. If you are feeling a little more energetic we have an extensive range of leisure facilities, including a superb 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, fully equipped gym, a hot spa bath and a Romanesque style swimming pool. The choice is of course yours and you can do as much or as little as you like. However you choose to spend your time with us, you can be certain that our friendly, attentive and discrete staff will be there to make sure your stay is a memorable one.
You can dine one of three locations within the hotel. Doves restaurant, where fresh, locally grown produce is transformed into a masterpiece of culinary art that will both excite, and delight, your palette, with your food perfectly presented at your table. Or the Victorian conservatory with those stunning views over the rolling Wiltshire countryside. For something a little more intimate the Snug offers a cosy atmosphere; wherever you choose to dine your food will be prepared and served to the same high standard and you can select a wine from our well stocked cellar to compliment your meal.
We have excellent facilities for special events and we can cater for up to 120 guests for weddings and private parties. Our conference centre has six flexible meeting rooms that can cater for most business needs.
