 Our delightful and charming Georgian country house is conveniently located on the edge of the town of Tamworth. A warm and welcoming establishment that is privately owned and operated you will find a friendly, homely atmosphere that is often likened like staying with friends, rather than in a commercial hotel.
Our quiet and luxurious hotel set in a conservation area, adjacent to the local canals and not far from the centre of the town of Tamworth. The history of the house stretches back to 1780s when it was built as a magnificent country house. As you would expect many changes have taken place since its beginnings, but these have been carried out with sympathy and consideration for the original building and much of the original charm and character still remains.
We have 20 wonderfully well proportioned, elegantly decorated and sumptuously comfortable single and double rooms, many of them with original oak beams exposed and other quaint, original features that give each room its own special character. In one room is a magnificent hand carved four-poster bed, perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary or just a weekend break for those eternal romantics amongst us.
We have an elegant lounge and bar that is comfortable and has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, the ideal place to relax and unwind with a drink before going into dinner.
In our cosy and relaxed restaurant you will be tempted by an array of tasty dishes, that are lovingly prepared for you by our talented Chef. There is a wide choice of superb English and International cuisine and you may choose the perfect wine from our wine list.
