 Our superb 17th century Coaching Inn has recently been renovated and improved to provide excellent accommodation for visitors to our area. Centrally located in the centre of the city, we are ideally placed for all of the attractions that this ancient, and famous, city has to offer.
Whatever your reason for visiting this magnificent city, whether it is to visit someone at the university, to explore the wonderful heritage of the city of 'dreaming spires' or to tour the many and varied delights of the surrounding area, we have the perfect place for you to stay. Magdalen, Merton and Queen's Colleges are all neighbours and only a minutes walk away, and all of the famous university faculties are only a little further away. There are many other interesting things to see and do in this historic city, with magnificent architecture, theatres, museums and a wide array of excellent restaurants, bars and clubs.
Our welcoming establishment was originally built as a Coaching Inn and we still offer accommodation and good food for travellers passing through our region. We have 63 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and supremely comfortable rooms, that have everything you need to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.
On the ground floor our superb restaurant offers a choice of dinning options, served in relaxed and informal surroundings and our lively Merton's Bar is the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day.
