The hotel was founded in 1891 by Higgins and Son of the nearby Castle Brewery, the brewery was part of the old Bedford Castle which unfortunately was destroyed along time ago. The original brewery now forms part of the Bedford Museum complex and Cecil Higgins Art Gallery, both just a few minutes walk away.
We have 20 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and supremely comfortable single, twin, double and family rooms, each one providing the very best in accommodation for our guests whether they are a single business traveller or family on holiday.
