In the very centre of this magnificent city is the famous Albert Dock, where for generations ships have been loaded and unloaded. On the side of this beautiful dock you will find our superb hotel, in what has now become one of the more prestigious and sought after parts of the city.
The City of Liverpool has grown around the docks that have since 1715 been the gateway into England for all manner of goods that arrived on the massive, ocean going ships that sailed into the Mersey river. In 1750 it was the major slave route, with slaves often being unloaded and sold on the docks. Constantly hanging to meet the demands of ever larger ships the docks were the life blood of the city until recent times. Now, with the decline of the shipping industry, the once bustling docks have become ares of regeneration and what was a warehouse for all manner of goods is now our luxurious, modern and wonderfully comfortable hotel. Because the dock was the heart of the city all of the most popular historic attractions are nearby and you can see the world famous Liver Building from our comfortable lounge bar.
Our building is in one of England's largest groups of Grade I listed buildings, and because of this many of the original features of the building, including its cast iron and red brick construction, have been incorporated into the design.
We have 135 spacious and well appointed double rooms, each room is stylishly decorated, supremely comfortable and equipped with everything that the leisure and business traveller could need for a relaxed and convenient stay.
The area is full of superb restaurants, bars and clubs, and the atmosphere is always friendly, vibrant and lively. If you enjoy the extensive shopping of the town centre it is just a five minute walk away.
