Standing at the cross roads of the main road to Tamworth (B5000) and Market Street in the quaint village of Polesworth, out establishment has the traditional atmosphere of a village pub. We provide superbly comfortable accommodation and an excellent location from which to explore the many attractions that are nearby.
Now a superb place to stay in the heart of a beautiful Warwickshire village, our establishment was originally built as a house way back in Tudor times. Over the years its location on a busy crossroads made it ideal as an Inn and eatery, catering for those passing through the area on what was then the main thoroughfare, eventually it was converted into a hostelry, using the original rooms and features it has remained much as it is now - except that now we provide the finest in modern accommodation, food and hospitality.
Our Grade II listed building is still a popular venue in the area, with original oak beams in the restaurant and in many of the rooms, it still retains its olde-worlde charm and character.
We have just 10 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and wonderfully comfortable rooms, each room benefiting from a stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower; central heating; opening windows; radio alarm clock; colour TV; smoke detectors; hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits and a choice of substantial full English or continental breakfast is included in the price of the room.
Our stylish restaurant has a relaxed and informal ambiance and is perfect for enjoying the exciting India and traditional English cuisine. With a wide range of tasty and tempting dishes there is sure to be something to suit your tastes.
