The North Yorkshire Moors are still one of the most beautiful, rugged and unspoilt parts of the country. The ideal location for activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and shooting, there is plenty to see and do. There are many historic country houses such as Duncombe Hall, Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall, to name but a few, that are open to the public and give an insight into what life was like here in times gone by.
Our wonderful establishment was originally built as a coaching Inn, way back in the seventeenth century and has continued to provide much needed food and accommodation for visitors passing through our area. Today we continue this proud tradition, except that now we provide elegant and comfortable accommodation that is equipped with all of the facilities that you would expect to find in an establishment of this quality, plus a superb choice of foods, with freshly prepared and wonderfully tasty traditional English and International dishes that are sure to tempt even the most discerning palette.
