Our location, set in the village of Amesbury, allows easy travel to the varied places of interest that the surrounding area has to offer. You can plan your excursions as you relax in our charming and comfortable establishment. There are many places of interest to choose from, the world famous Stonehenge ancient monument, with the magnificent stone circle that dates back over four thousand years is near by, as is the village of Avebury with its pre-historic site, West Kennet Long Barrow and Silbury Hill, all fascinating and exciting places for all the family to visit.
We have 32 exceptionally well designed and well proportioned rooms that have recently been extensively refurbished and as many rooms still retain the original oak beams they have real olde-worlde character, carefully blended with all the modern conveniences expected of todays accommodation, en-suite bathroom, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
The restaurant offers a superb selection of traditional English Fayre, freshly prepared by our Chef and served in a unique, historic setting.
When you return from your day trip, you can sit, relax and unwind in one of our comfortable bars, enjoy a glass of wine or perhaps sample one of our fine selection of real ales, in the cosy glow from the real fire. The restaurant is also host to many themed nights throughout the year, perfect for that special occasion or for a company event.

Good stuff: Lovely cumfy room with all the comforts of home

Bad stuff: The heatinwas a little warm

Overall: Party was excellent,with good entertainment,and a lovely friendly atmosphere. The only thing about the process was that when I rang head office and asked for a brochure (I also emailed) I did not get one. When I rang the hotel direct I was given all the information I needed by friendly staff.
