An intimate and friendly 15th century Inn that is a perfect choice for a relaxing weekend break, holiday or business stay. Set in the picturesque town of Bewdley on the banks of the river Severn it offers excellent fishing for the angler. The George is close to both the Severn Valley railway and the West Midlands Safari Park and makes a comfortable centre from which to plan your visits to the surrounding places of interest.
We have 11 comfortable single, twin or double, en-suite rooms that have tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV and direct dial telephone. Our award winning, oak panelled restaurant offers a choice of excellent menus, including A La Carte and Flambe, with a suitable selection of fine wine to complement your meal. Our traditional bar has a log fire (winter only) to warm yourself by as you sample the traditional ales and guest beers served by our friendly staff.
We also recommend a visit to our Wedgewood Room coffee shop, which serves morning coffee, lunch and afternoon teas.
If you are planning a special occasion we have a magnificent function room available, which seats 70 guests comfortably and is licensed for 120 people, ideal for a business meeting or conference and the perfect venue for that private party, anniversary, wedding reception or Christmas party.
