A warm and friendly atmosphere where you will receive a genuine welcome. Our 15th century thatched Inn is the perfect place to stay for that weekend getaway. We are in the heart of the charming town of Castle Cary with many attractions and sites nearby.

With seven ensuite guest rooms that have been individually and carefully designed we are sure you will enjoy a restful stay with us. Our chef has taken great delight in creating some super dishes for your enjoyment so be sure to give them a try. We have two bars where you can relax with pre-dinner drinks and after dinner chasers.

The town is a typical market town and its main street is filled with buildings that are made from the local golden stone, many of which are still thatched - step back in time and feel the magic and mystique of the place.

There are a number of attractions close by including Haynes Motor Museum for those motor enthusiasts at Sparkford.

Hadspen House Gardens makes a super day out and will give keen gardeners some real inspiration. There's an organised tour, design weeks and books and videos that you can take away with you to re-create some of these ideas in your own wonderland.

Tour the countryside and enjoy some of the sports on offer with golfing, horse riding, cycling, lots of walking and cave hunting and plenty of photo opportunities.
