The history of this delightful establishment goes back to the 18th century when it was a noted and thriving Coaching House, and today it continues its long tradition of supplying good food and accommodation for weary travellers, today however, the accommodation is perhaps a little more sumptuous than travellers back then would have expected. We have 65 well appointed, tastefully decorated and exceptionally comfortable rooms that possess all the modern facilities that todays traveller looks for, they all have en-suite bathrooms, plus all the usual amenities necessary to make your stay a pleasant one.
Vaults restaurant is rather quaint, with a large Cotswold stone fireplace as its main feature, it provides a warm and cosy atmosphere in which to enjoy the superb menu, created freshly for you by our Chef and served by our friendly staff, with a fine wine to compliment your meal.
During your visit we recommend a visit to some of the local places of interest. In Swindon the Wyvern theatre and the Museum of the Great Western Railway, a great day out for all the family. A little farther afield Avebury, with its prehistoric stone circle and West Kennet Long Barrow, an iron age burial ground are all within easy travelling distance.
