Formerly named High Royd, this charming house was built for Mary Taylor in 1860. Now it provides delightfully elegant accommodation and excellent service in a tranquil and relaxing setting. Ideally situated as a base from which to plan your excursions to the towns and attractions of the surrounding area.
Mary Taylor was a novelist in her own right but was probably more famous for her friendship with Charlotte Bronte. She is widely renown as the inspiration and driving force that encouraged Charlotte to visit Brussels, a visit that inspired many of her famous novels.
