Located just a few minutes drive from the heart of the City of Hull and only a short distance from the River Humber our wonderful establishment stands on the Yorkshire Wolds Way, in the small village of Welton. We offer superb accommodation in our olde worlde pub, restaurant and hotel.
This part of the country has a long and fascinating history and is littered with interesting places to visit, both ancient and modern. The area is linked to the famous highwayman Dick Turpin and the ancient City of York, a walled town that was once a Roman garrison town is only a short drive away. From our location the Humber Bridge is nearby and is an exhilarating sight, especially at night or when the towers are lost in the clouds.
Our splendid establishment was originally built as a coaching house to cater for the coaches travelling from the port of Hull. Recently it has been completely refurbished and improved with all rooms being upgraded and tastefully decorated in relaxing and harmonising colours, and furniture that is supremely comfortable yet suits the style of the building. For those who are here for a special occasion, honeymoon, anniversary or perhaps just a romantic weekend break - we have a stylish four-poster room that has a tranquil and wonderfully special ambiance.
The food is exquisite, with delicious home cooked meals, all made from the freshest locally produced ingredients and served in the warmth of our traditional restaurant, you can be sure that there will be something to suit every taste.
In the evening you can relax and unwind in the cosy atmosphere of our lounge bar, where you can enjoy a selection of real ales, fine wines and spirits.
A wonderfully cosy and welcoming establishment, ideally placed for enjoying the many delights of this historic part of the country.
