Our superb establishment can trace its history back to 1815, when it was originally built as a Coaching Inn. Its long tradition of providing a bed and food for travellers is still maintained. The only difference is that today, after careful and sympathetic renovation and refurbishment, we offer a luxurious standard of accommodation, the best in attentive but unobtrusive service and an excellent dinning experience.
We have 23 well appointed, elegantly decorated and supremely comfortable rooms that have all the refinements, en-suite bathroom with bath or shower, colour TV, direct dial telephone and hospitality tray.
The richly decorated and furnished restaurant offer a superbly relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the finest cuisine, made form locally produced ingredients and varies with their seasonal availability. After a breakfast that is guaranteed to set you up for the day, there is a table d'hote menu served during lunch and an extensive A La Carte menu in the evening, and with a fine wine from the well stocked cellar we are certain that there will be something to suit even the most discerning palette.
The Bar/lounge area is comfortable and cosy, the perfect place to sit and relax, to chat with friends or meet new ones, while enjoying a drink from the bar.
