A wonderful Yorkshire welcome awaits you when you visit this superb privately owned hotel. Originally built in 1850 the building has been lovingly restored and sympathetically extended, taking great care to retain the Victorian feel and character of this magnificent building.
A fine example of early Victorian architecture, great care and thought has gone into the refurbishment and extension of this fine old building to bring it into the 21st century, providing guests with all the facilitates and refinements of a modern hotel. To ensure that character of the building was retained as much as possible the East Wing was built from stone reclaimed after the demolition of a local rag mill.
