Our magnificent country house has a long and distinguished history that stretches back to the Victorian era when it was built as a splendid country retreat. Over the years it has been the home of many famous people including American millionaire John Paul Getty and more recently it belonged to the Queen of Yugoslavia.
When you arrive you may find it hard to imagine a more perfect setting. Its hill top location amidst ten acres of mature gardens and woodland and by following the hidden woodland paths you will find breathtaking, panoramic views across the Cheshire countryside plus an awe inspiring natural rock garden, complete with dramatic cliffs and hidden caves.
The house itself is a classical master piece, full of traditional charm and much of its original character; an atmospheric setting for a stress free holiday - away from the hustle and bustle of modern life or a romantic break for a special occasion.
We have just eight wonderfully individual bedrooms, each one having its own special character. Although each room has the style and feel of elegant country house living, it also has all the facilities that you would expect from an establishment of this quality, including satellite TV, direct dial telephone and fax machine.
With views out across the beautiful gardens our dinning room is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the excellent cuisine that is created for you by our talented team of chefs. The A La Carte menu contains many exquisite dishes that will delight and excite even the most discerning palette, and with a bottle of fine wine from our cellar, a superb dinning experience.
