'Stand and deliver' was the famous cry of the highwayman. At our Highwayman you can stand, sit or if you prefer, lie down as we deliver a warm and friendly welcome, genuine hospitality, attentive service and excellent accommodation. We have 52 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and stylishly furnished single and double rooms that have everything that the modern traveller woulds expect to find in an establishment such as ours. All of our rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and provide our guests with comfortable accommodation, modern facilities and exceptionally good value for money. To make certain that you have everything you need during your stay with us all of our rooms include stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower and complimentary toiletries; central heating; windows that you can open; a well lit work area with desk, lamp and a direct dial telephone with modem point that allows internet connection via your lap-top; iron and ironing board; AM/FM radio alarm clock; hairdryer; colour TV with satellite and all news channels and tea and coffee making facilities. For the convenience and safety
of all our guests all of our rooms are non smoking.
The Quality Locals pub is part of the complex and provides our guests with a relaxed, lively place to sit and unwind at the end of the day, there is a choice of traditional pub games plus a big screen TV where all the major sporting events can be seen. The pub also serves a wide range of tasty and tempting dishes from its 'filling station' menu, as well as a large selection of beers, wines and spirits.

Good stuff: Good people plus warm, nice room and restaurant with great value for a wonderful meal. The perfect combination for any traveler but especially for me, as I was the classic weary one.

Bad stuff: I was going to say the unseasonable rain, but the Inn's layout accommodated for an indoor route from the rooms to the restaurant...so even that was no problem.

Overall: Good people plus warm, nice room and restaurant with great value for a great meal. Town shopping/market etc. is walking distance, and bus stop is about 100 meters away. The hotel had a direct account with a fine reliable taxi service and good knowledge of other accommodations in the area in case they were booked up (I happened to be in the lobby when the sweetest gal at the reception desk was working on this very issue). If you don't feel like a walk to town there is a wonderful pub area with a pool table and delightful, friendly local clientele. All in all - the perfect friendly Inn.
