Standing in the Highmarket Place in the picturesque village of Kirbymooside we offer a welcoming and friendly place to make your base when exploring the delights of this beautiful area. Family owned and operated you can sure of genuinely warm hospitality, supremely comfortable accommodation and excellent food during your stay.
With its central location in a small and picturesque village, the King's Head has been the focal point of village life for over four hundred years. Originally built in the seventeenth century as a coaching house providing much needed food, drink and accommodation for travellers passing through our area, there is over four hundred years of history within the atmosphere of the building. Many things have changed over the years, but the tradition of providing good food and comfortable accommodation is continued to this day.
Being a small establishment the atmosphere is warm and homely, with many personal touches that are not found in larger establishments. The age of the building means that no two rooms are the same, each is individual in design and decoration and they all have their own unique character. All of our rooms are equipped with everything our guests need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay.
We have a choice of dinning options, with the Kings Dinning Room, a traditional, candle lit setting for more formal dinning and the Conservatory, where the atmosphere is a little more relaxed but the food is just as good. Wherever you choose to eat you can sample some of the magnificent culinary creations that are all prepared by our talented chef from only the finest, locally produced ingredients.
Perfectly positioned for exploring the area we offer a warm and friendly place to make your base.
