Standing in the heart of the City of Kingston upon Hull our magnificent hotel offers the finest in wonderfully warm and welcoming accommodation, in award winning elegance and luxury. The magnificent surroundings of our superb establishment have been part of the city of Hull since it was built way back in the early 1800s. The building has had a long and varied history that has added to its wonderful charm and character and was once the elegant home and work rooms of the renown Madam Clapham, a noted dress maker and courtier to the nobility and to the Royal family of the time.
The architecture of this wonderful hotel is superb and although it has been altered over the years there are still many of the original features on display. Now a Grade II listed building when we expanded, by developing the neighbouring property, great care was taken to ensure that it was done with sympathy, enhancing the original features rather than removing them.
A family owned and operated establishment you can be sure that you will be greeted with genuine warmth and that both your hosts and their staff will do all they can to make your time with us as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
We have a range of accommodation with twenty eight single, twin and double rooms in Standard or Executive style, plus we have just added eight luxurious suites, perfect if you like a little more room and privacy.
