The New Inn has been the home of the present owners since 1987, and during that time many changes have been made and the building has been sympathetically and carefully improved and refurbished. We now provide our guests with the finest in accommodation that is a wonderful blend of genuine 18th century charm and character with modern facilities. Great care and thought has one into making sure that the ambiance and decoration reflects the age and history of the building, for example the main bar is decorated with a collection of original caving cartoons by Jim Eyre, a famous local character and one of the early explorers of the local caves. There are many other original works of art, mostly by local artists n display, including several with a West Riding Industrial theme.
A small and homely establishment we have just eighteen well proportioned and supremely comfortable twin and double rooms, each with its own unique character and a relaxing ambiance that is ideal for a good nights sleep.
In our charming restaurant our chef has created a number of exquisite dishes, all made from the finest ingredients that have been produced on local farms. In the time it has been open our restaurant has gained an enviable reputation for the quality of its food.
