Standing in 3 acres of beautifully maintained gardens this magnificent hotel offers superb accommodation, excellent service and a large slice of traditional Yorkshire hospitality. Well placed on the outskirts of Huddersfield and within easy reach of the motorway, the perfect base for both leisure and business user.

Originally built in 1862, from ageless Yorkshire stone and standing 3 acres of magnificent gardens, we offer an oasis of peace, away from the hustle and bustle and noise of the city. Ideally placed for those who are visiting the attractions that the area has to offer, with Eureka!, the interactive museum for children; Bankfield Museum, set in the former home of miller owner Edward Ackroyd and housing an impressive collection of fabrics from around the world; and Holmfirth, the home of the ever popular 'Last of the Summer Wine' TV series are just some of the places of interest that are worth a visit.
With easy access to the motorway travel around the area for the business user is simplicity itself and the industrial and commercial centres of Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford and Manchester are just a short drive away. Our location also makes us the ideal venue for meetings and conferences and we have 3 function rooms that provide the perfect setting for meetings, seminars, conferences or corporate events for up to 70 delegates.
The largest of the function rooms, the Castleshaw Suite has its own self contained bar, and is perfect for private parties. We have a license for Civil Marriage ceremonies and can cater for up to 60 dinner guests, with manicured gardens for photographs and with the added bonus of no travelling from the ceremony to the reception, the perfect setting for an idyllic wedding.
Whether your event is business or pleasure, our experienced staff will be happy to assist in the organisation, ensuring that your event is trouble free.
