 It is not often that you get the chance to stay in a building that is steeped in history, but our warm and welcoming establishment allows you to do just that. Standing in its own delightful grounds it is easy to imagine life as it was a hundred years ago.
Our magnificent and impressive building stands in its own picturesque grounds and the process of taking you back begins as you approach through the well tended grounds. The building has stood here, almost as you see it now, for over four hundred years and has a interesting provenance as the former home of the world war two fighter pilot and renown hero, Sir Douglas Bader. There are many picture and photographs of this legendary war time hero and our rooms are named 'Douglas Bader', 'Spitfire' and 'Hurricane' in his honour.
Our guests will find very elegant and pleasant surroundings and an unmistakably 'English' feel to the whole establishment as they enter through the tiled entrance porch or stand and look out across the well kept lawns through the arched stone windows. We have just three exceptionally comfortable rooms, each one is individually decorated and comfortably furnished using warm colours and soft fabrics, our Douglas Bader room has a magnificent four poster bed, ideal for the eternal romantics amongst us.
All of our rooms have a high level of facilities, including en-suite bathroom with shower and fluffy bath robe; central heating; windows that you can open; AM/FM radio; meeting or dining table; hairdryer; comfortable sitting area; remote control colour TV with DVD player; smoke detectors; refrigerator;
CD player.
