Head North from us and you will come to Woburn Abbey and Safari Park- filled with tigers, elephants, monkeys and many exotic species, there are secure areas where you can picnic and let the children let off steam. From here you can head down to St Albans where there is some good shopping and just outside the Verulamium Roman Town - a market heritage sight. Hemel Hempstread is a few miles from here again with good shopping.

Luton itself caters for a population of 170,000 so there is plenty in the way of shopping - centred around George Street and the Arndale Centre, theatres, cinema and a bowling alley as well as restaurants, cafes and bars.
