The Pyewipe is a superb establishment that stands in its own grounds in a wonderfully picturesque part of this beautiful county. Just a short distance from city of Lincoln we are surrounded by many historic feature, such as The Fossedyke - built by the Romans in AD120 to join the river Witham to the river Trent and is the oldest man made, navigable waterway in the UK. From our door you can take a twenty minute stroll along the ancient Roman canal into the city centre, or if you prefer not to walk a shuttle boat operates along the canal.
Originally built as a coaching Inn way back in 1778, we have been welcoming visitors to this area for over two hundred years, and in recent years it has been extended and improved to cater for the needs of the modern traveller. Standing in four acres of its own grounds on the outskirts of the city, we have magnificent views of the famous cathedral and historic buildings of the city.
We have twenty well proportioned and wonderfully cosy rooms that have everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, including our four poster room with a wonderfully romantic ambiance that will make your special occasion even more special.
