Luton town centre is a short drive away and has plenty to offer by way of entertainment - bars, cafes and restaurants, theatre, cinema and bowling alley. There is a new arts and media centre - Artezium and good choice of shopping is centred around George Street and the Arndale Centre.
Just outside the town is the Museum and Art Gallery and Luton Hoo - a great historical house. If you have the family with you then why not visit Woodside Farm and Wildlife Park where you can see smaller animals, rare breeds and let the children run off steam in the play areas.
Head North to find Woburn Abbey - a beautiful heritage site in its own right and Woburn Safari Park - here you can see more exotic animals - elephants, monkeys, tigers and many more. There are secure areas where you can picnic and relax.
Close by there are two golf clubs - Woburn and Stockwood. The surrounding countryside is gentle and scenic and there are numerous towns and villages to visit - Leighton Buzzard has the Light Railway, Ampthill is where you will find Houghton House Stately Home and a little over to the East is Knebworth House and parklands - perfect for that special concert.
