Set in a wonderful area of outstanding natural beauty, there is plenty of picturesque countryside to enjoy around our small and friendly hotel. Our own gardens provide a peaceful and relaxing place to sit and unwind and enjoy the river views; the ideal place for a relaxing weekend break.

Our cosy establishment offers our guests a superb place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and with magnificent views of the river Trent, it is easy to relax into a slower pace of life. The gardens are peaceful and tranquil, and a wonderful place to sit with a glass of wine on warm summer evenings and watch the sun slowly sink behind the skyline. If you want to you can try your hand a fishing, the hotel has its own stretch of river with fishing rights.
We have just 22 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and splendidly comfortable single and double rooms, each room has everything that the discerning traveller would expect to find in an establishment of this class, including en-suite bathroom; trouser press; central heating; windows that you can open; iron and ironing board; hairdryer; radio alarm clock; work area with desk, chair and direct dial telephone; colour TV; smoke detectors; hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits and just in case you get too cosy in the comfortable bed you can book a wake-up call to make sure you don't miss the breakfast that is included in the price of the room. If you prefer a non smoking room they are available on request.
In our Riverside Bar and Lounge you can enjoy a drink from the bar or a selection of light-bites, bar snacks and light meals served in informal surroundings. If you just fancy a coffee we have Cappuccino Corner, with a variety of speciality coffees as well as, of course, afternoon teas.
For more substantial dinning, our Garden Room restaurant has an excellent and well deserved reputation for providing exquisite A La Carte dishes, as well as superb fixed price menu; whichever you choose you can be sure that the food will be excellently prepared, presented and served in stylish surroundings.
