Good stuff: The sauna shower was a lovely suprise! As a lone female traveller the staff made me feel very comfortable - thanks.

Bad stuff: If I had to pick something it'd be the food, my steak was overcooked and small. No wine on room service menu?

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: My room in the new part of the hotel was in keeping with the hotel and had a huge bathroom with roll top very deep bath and a sauna in the shower - not sure if this was a standard room but it was a lovely suprise. It was quiet and peaceful. Staff were very kind and I'd recommend it to anyone. Lovely grounds and the public areas were very comfortable and country housey - lots of lovely squashy chairs. Be prepared to drive miles down country lanes to find it though - I came from the north and didn't realise how far down the lanes it was from the map on the website.
