Our magnificent establishment has recently been completely refurbished and improved and now offers the finest in comfort, facilities and service. Not far from the centre of the Gateshead and only a short journey from Newcastle we have the ideal base for those who want to explore the delights of the area.

The recent refurbishment may have created more sophisticated and luxurious surroundings but the warmth of our northern hospitality and the pleasant, homely atmosphere still remains. The nautical decor of the interior with its wonderful oak panelling and superb fittings adds a touch of luxury and splendour to the whole building.
With just 10 well proportioned, well equipped bedrooms that are named after some of the famous liners that were built on the Tyne, and are decorated to reflect the elegance of cruise ships first class cabin. All of the rooms are en-suite, with classic roll top baths and all of the elegance and sophistication of a by-gone age. All rooms also have direct dial telephone; colour TV; radio; hairdryer and hospitality tray.
We have a cosy restaurant that has built an enviable reputation for the superb quality of the food that is freshly prepared by our talented chef and served by our friendly waiting staff; all you need to do is to select the perfect bottle of wine to compliment your meal. Our comfortable lounge and bar area is the ideal place to sit and unwind, in summer there is a bright and airy conservatory that is perfect for a warm summer evening, in the winter there is a cosy open fire that you can sit by and enjoy a drink from the bar.
