 The main house was built as the home of a local businessman around 1800. It has now been lovingly and sympathetically transformed into sumptuous accommodation, with more than a hint of the luxury of a more elegant time. We offer relaxation, peace and a romantic setting, along with our excellent food and service.

All of our rooms are individually and richly decorated with period furniture, all the rooms having their own special charm and character, with no two rooms being exactly alike. We have maintained the splendour and character of the original rooms and many have tall, stone mullioned windows with magnificent views across the gardens.
Some rooms have antique mahogany four-poster beds and Victorian bathing alcoves, where you can push aside the screens and enjoy the opulence of sipping champagne, in your bath, in front of a blazing coal fire. Although there is a definite feeling of living in by-gone times, we also offer the most up to date facilities and all rooms are en-suite and have wireless broadband connections, for the business user who just has to stay in touch.
The Palm Grove restaurant serves exquisite food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with our Head Chef sourcing locally produced ingredients, whenever possible, to create fresh and mouthwateringly tasty meals. Add a bottle of the finest wine from our well stocked cellar and you have the complete dinning experience. If you prefer something a little more intimate and private, why not let us serve you, course by course, in your room, enabling you to dine in uninterrupted privacy in the glow from your real coal fire.
There is just about everything you could desire for the perfect relaxing break, a gym, sauna, massage and health spa will help you unwind and shake off the cares and worries of a hectic life. Or if you want something a little more exciting we can organise golf, tank driving, Top-Gun aerial combat and many other exhilarating activities that are ideal for corporate events.
