Our location is ideal for everyone who wants to enjoy the many and varied delights of this historic spa town, whether you are here on business or for pleasure, we are within just a few minutes pleasant stroll of the town centre, yet on the edge of the rural common that gives us a distinctly peaceful and tranquil setting. The building was originally built as a private residence for a wealthy family back in the time of Queen Victoria and it was not until the 1920s that it became one of the premier hotels in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area. Inside, the interior is wonderfully atmospheric and although many alterations and improvements have been done over the years to keep us in line with modern trends, many of the original features of the building have been retained.
We have just twenty three well proportioned and elegantly decorated twin, double, triple rooms and suites that are all comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and refreshing stay. Unfortunately because of the age, design and status of the building we have been unable to install a lift and the upper floors are accessed by stairs.
A substantial breakfast is included in the price of the room and served in our cosy dinning room, where evening meals are available by prior arrangement. In the evening why not join us in our friendly lounge bar, with comfortable seating and excellent company it is the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day or plan your interesting and exciting excursions for tomorrow.
