The Hall opened as a hotel in 1989, following a comprehensive renovation that saw many of the original features of the building restored to their former glory. Good stuff: Nothing about the room, but the hotel was very nice

Bad stuff: The standard of the rooms, they really need a complete overhaul

Overall: I booked the room online for my Aunt, who is 86 years old. I would have liked to have known exactly what the standard of room was, as it was very stuffy, and the bed uncomfy. Also, whe she arrived at the hotel at 2.30, it was not ready, and she was kept waiting in reception for almost an hour, and the wedding she was attending was at 4.00.
