Lovely spot to stop off and spend a day or two - we are located in between Wincanton and Yeovil in a pleasant village setting. Our 15th century Coaching Inn is welcoming and cosy and provides you with super ensuite rooms and a hearty breakfast to get you going each day.

Perfectly placed between London and Cornwall with lots of options for those enjoying nature, walking and the usual pilgrimage to Glastonbury.

Perfect for exploring Wincanton and Yeovil with trips in to Bath and Bristol feasible.

Heading over to Yeovil there's some super options during the day and in the evening. How about some shopping in the Quedam Shopping Centre - plenty of parking facilities and filled with most main stream outlets and an abundance of coffee shops where you can take a break.

Wincanton has a golf course and there's the race course too where there are a number of events throughout the year - great atmosphere and an exciting day out.

Visit Castle Cary and the Cadbury Castle as well as discovering the countryside by bicycle or horse back.

Hop on the train and head in to London - its only a two hour journey and you can take full advantage of the shopping and theatre land there. Great for business people who need to make that meet and still be in the West Country for that weekend break.

Bristol is close by with easy access to the airport. The city itself has plenty on offer with a remarkable evening social scene and lots of shopping options.

Good stuff: It was a a charming little place, the room was very nice and above expectations.

Bad stuff: A bit confusing to find out how to check in.

Overall: I would stay there if I travel into that area of England again. It captured the flavour of rural England and made us feel most welcome.
