This magnificent manor house was listed in the Doomsday Book and once belonged to Lord Burghley, who was Chief Minister to Queen Elizabeth I. The house was rebuilt in 1840 and all that remains of the original building are the large stone Tudor fireplaces. Stanton Manor is now privately owned and has recently been completely refurbished to provide the very highest standard of superior accommodation, modern facilities and unsurpassed service, for visitors to the area. During the restoration great care was taken to ensure that while the very best in modern technology was installed for the convenience of our guests, it blended perfectly with the history and heritage from the past, like the magnificent Tudor fireplaces and stone flooring that give the house its charm, character and the feeling of luxury from a more elegant time.
We have 23 spacious and richly decorated en-suite bedrooms or suites, some of them benefiting from exquisite king-size four-poster beds. All the rooms are individually designed and sumptuously furnished and decorated with either an oriental or provincial theme. If you have a larger family, four of the rooms are interconnecting.
Our Chef and his team take great pride in producing the finest in traditional English cuisine with flair and imagination, perfectly presented to you for your enjoyment. Whatever meal you choose you will find the perfect accompaniment from our well stocked cellar to complete the dinning experience.
We can provide the perfect setting in which to hold your wedding, our banqueting suite can cater for 80 guests, or for large parties we can erect a marquee in the grounds to accommodate up to 200.
Our location within easy reach of the M4 makes us easy to reach and the perfect place to hold you meeting, seminar, conference or corporate event.

Good stuff: Superb, comfortable Queen Size Bed and large bathroom
Overall: The information on the web-site stated the room would have a large queen size bed or a 4 poster. It would have been nice to have known which. Having said that my partner and I have no complaints regarding the facilities in the room or the size of the room itself. Everything was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and as the restaurant was busy had reserved us a table for dinner just in case we wanted to dine at the hotel. The only disappointment was that we were only staying the one night!
