Our traditional coaching house has been a popular feature of this area for two hundred years and now it provides visitors to the area with wonderfully comfortable and well equipped accommodation, plus genuinely warm Yorkshire hospitality. Ideally placed for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the many attractions that this beautiful area has to offer.
When our beautiful establishment was built in the 1700s it was originally known as the Horse and Jockey, this was because it stood right next to the grandstand on the local race course and had stables to house the horses. When the railway arrived in the 1800s it became known as the Railway Hotel and Posting House, a stop off point for tired horses and travellers as they passed though our area. In 1901 it became the Station and was then much as you find it now, a fine example of period architecture both inside and out.
Standing close to the railway station we are easy to find and conveniently located for all of the main attractions that this beautiful area has to offer. A small and friendly family operated establishment there is a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere, and all of our guests receive friendly personal service and we do all we can to make certain that their stay with us is relaxed and enjoyable.
With just thirteen well proportioned, comfortable and cosy rooms you will have all you need during your stay, and if you require anything we haven't provided a word with one of our pleasant and friendly staff and we will do our best to oblige
A hearty breakfast is served each morning and lunch is available, evening meals can be provided for guests by prior arrangement.
