The area around Newcastle under Lyme was once a mining area supplying coal and raw materials to the Potteries area of Stoke on Trent. Now, with the decline of mining, the area has undergone a radical change and is undergoing a time of regeneration and growth, and is attracting many new industries.
Our warm and friendly hotel is situated on the edge of the town and is an ideal place for both the business traveller and the leisure visitor who want to travel quickly and easily around the region. For the tourist there are many interesting things to see and do, the Potteries, with its many famous factories such as Wedgewood, Spode, Royal Doulton to name but a few, is an interesting place to visit. Alton Towers, England's foremost theme park with many white-knuckle rides to satisfy the thrill seekers, and the majestic stately home of Shugborough Hall and gardens, for those who prefer their days a little more sedate.
