Just a few miles south of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and a short distance from the seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey, the small market town of Malton is home to our small and extremely welcoming establishment. Family owned and operated our guests can be sure of a warm welcome and genuine hospitality.
The Suddaby family have owned and operated this magnificent establishment since 1871. With over one hundred years of experience in providing comfortable and well equipped accommodation for our guests you can be sure that you stay with us will be a wonderfully comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Originally built as a coaching house catering for traveller passing through this area, we have continued this proud tradition. Our small and cosy establishment has reputation earned over many years for the quality of the accommodation and service we provide. We have just eight spacious and tastefully decorated rooms that have all of the facilities needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. A hearty breakfast is served each morning and is guaranteed to set you up for a day spent enjoying the many delights that this part of the country has to offer.
Although evening meals are not served there are several excellent places to eat within just a few metres of our front door.
Our bar has a cheerful ambiance and a real log fire to warm those cool evenings and is renown for the quality and variety of the cask conditioned ales that it serves and we have a wide range of wines and spirits available, with good conversation, rather than music, as the order of the day.
