Our impressive building was built of yellow Yorkshire stone and stands in its own picturesque grounds surrounded by beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Full of charm and character and offering a superb standard of accommodation with spacious, elegant rooms, excellent facilities and attentive yet unobtrusive service from courteous staff, the ideal place for you to stay.

The original building around which our warm and welcoming establishment has been built has stood on this spot since the 17th century. Originally a country home it is now one of the most prestigious and friendly hotels in the region. As you would expect many additions and alterations have been made since it was first built to turn it into the superb accommodation that it now is, but much of the original features, charm and character still remain, with oak beams, exposed interior yellow stone walls and cosy fireplaces where when the weather is chilly you can sit around a real log fire.
The pleasant and helpful staff will be genuinely happy to greet you when you arrive, and will make certain that everything is to your satisfaction. We have 100 well appointed twin and double rooms that are decorated and furnished in a relaxing and comfortable style, the perfect place to sit and unwind after a long journey or a busy day. For your convenience all of our rooms have all of the facilities that you would expect from an establishment of this obvious quality and we are certain that you will have everything you need to make your stay a relaxing, pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Our restaurant offers excellent menus, with a wide choice of tasty and tempting dishes, there is sure to be something to suit everyone. You could also eat in our lounge bar, where we have an extensive bar snack and light meal menu.

Good stuff: Great hotel, brilliant location - not far from motorway - but it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere.

Bad stuff: There was a wedding taking place so wasn't as peaceful as previous visits, but that's life!

Overall: Great hotel - will be back

Bad stuff: good size room helpful staff

Overall: i enjoyed my stay and the assistance with my bags from the staff nice breakfast nice clean roomm though the stairs were a bit of a challenge with my bad leg but over a nice place to stay
