Located just a short walk from the beach, next to the Meare a wonderfully scenic lake that is perfect for wildlife and bird watching. Often called a 'hidden gem' our warm and welcoming establishment is set in the wonderful countryside of the Suffolk Heritage Coastline. Our location is just a few minutes away from the beach and stunning Suffolk coast, with many exciting walks and is perfect for bird watches and wildlife enthusiasts. Originally built in the early 1900s as a holiday destination for those home on leave from the colonies, it has undergone extensive refurbishment and modernisation in recent years and now provides superbly relaxing and comfortable accommodation. We have 30 spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped twin and double rooms, each one having all the facilities required by todays discerning traveller, including elegant en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries; central heating; windows that open; direct dial telephone with direct modem link; hairdryer; alarm clock radio; sitting area; colour TV; smoke detectors; hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits, plus some of our rooms have a private balcony.
We have two stylish, cosy and relaxed restaurants that serve varied menus of traditional and contemporary dishes using only the freshest locally produced ingredients. We also have an extensive vegetarian menu.
We have our own 18 hole golf course that provides a challenge to even the most skillful golfers, tennis, clay pigeon shooting and cycling are also available.
