Directions to our wonderful hotel couldn't be easier, look for the 253ft tall Wainhouse Tower and head for it; we are almost directly at the foot of the tower. The tower was built in 1871 from 9,000 tons of dressed ashlar at a cost of £14,000 (£4.3 million today) as a chimney for the local dye works but was never used. Now on selected days during the summer, you can climb the 403 steps to the top for breathtaking, panoramic views across Calderdale.
We have 16 well proportioned and superbly comfortable bedrooms with all the refinements you would expect: en-suite, TV, telephone, tea/coffee etc.
You can dine in our La Torre restaurant, that serves excellent, freshly prepared foods in a elegant and relaxing surroundings, or on a warm summer evening you could choose to eat 'Alfresco', in the shade of a beautiful weeping Ash tree. Over twenty five years we have built an enviable reputation for serving the finest foods and wines, and excellent service.
