Set on the edge of an area that is know as the 'Black Country', it was called this after Queen Victoria, while on a train journey through the region, asked for the blinds to be drawn so that she didn't have to look upon an area that had been blackened by the soot and smoke from the many furnaces, forges and heavy industry that the area was renown for. Today most of the heavy industry, and the dirty, blackened houses, have gone but the area is still one of the industrial engines that drives the country forward.
Our location close to the motorway net work that criss-crosses the area, is perfect for travelling around the West Midlands, whether you have business in one of the many sites of industry and commerce or are on holiday exploring the many interesting places that are just minutes away. The Black Country Living Museum, where you can go down a drift mine, sample 19th century fish and chips and try a pint of real ale in a genuine 19th century Black Country boozer, is easily reached, as are Dudley Zoo and Castle, Cadbury World and Drayton Manor Park (to name but a few).
We have 125 superb rooms. Each one has been designed, decorated and equipped with the needs of the modern traveller in mind and you will have every modern convenience to make your stay a pleasant and enjoyable experience. All of our rooms include en-suite bathroom, some have been designed for our less able guests with roll in shower, grab handles etc; direct dial telephone; modem connection; satellite TV; fax; desk and lamp plus other features too numerous to mention.
We are rightly proud of our Salingers Restaurant, that has in the short time it has been open, gained an enviable reputation for excellent food with a Mediterranean flavour. If you prefer something less formal, but equally as good, our Village Pub offers excellent bar food in a relaxed atmosphere.
We have splendid conference facilities with full back up services and ample off road parking, our easy to reach location makes us ideal for your business meeting, conference, seminar or corporate event.

This Guests Rating Bar for 4.57  Rating of 4.57 out of 5  Unique ID (3304769420)

Good stuff: Cleanliness of the room and response time of request from the reception hotel staff.
Bad stuff: The TV set was only tuned to SKY tv. I was un-able to pick up the BBC or ITV service.
Overall: I have now stayed at this hotel on four different occasions in the past year. Each time the service and friendliness' of the staff has been commendable. The leisure facilities are kept to a very high standard and meet all requirements re leisure and fitness. The only negativity I have relates to the on-line booking service. This does not seem to liase with the hotel re any special requests made at the time of booking. Minor detail for such a nice Hotel.
