Our location just a few minutes walk from the town of Dudley, a five minute drive from the M5 and only twenty minutes from Birmingham City centre, we have the ideal place from which to explore the area. We offer superb accommodation, attentive service and excellent value for money.

Our warm and welcoming establishment was the first hostelry in the town of Dudley, and it has provided good food and rest for our guests ever since. Now, with much improvement and refurbishment over the years, we provide the highest standards of elegant, comfortable accommodation, attentive service and the latest in facilities. Our location close to Dudley Zoo and Castle, the Black Country Living Museum, Cadbury World and the Merry Hill shopping centre is ideal for those who really want to explore the many delights that are on offer, and with the Cities of Birmingham and Wolverhampton only twenty minutes away there is always plenty of interesting and exciting things to do.
We have 72 wonderfully comfortable, well proportioned and elegantly comfortable rooms that have all the amenities that you would expect to find in a hotel like ours, plus much more. All of our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and have stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower; central heating; windows that open; work area with desk, direct modem link, direct dial telephone; alarm clock/radio; sitting area and colour TV with satellite channels.

Good stuff: Room was spotlessly clean, tea & coffee facilities very welcome. breakfast was nice and well cooked

Bad stuff: as a disabled person with MS I found the stairs hard to cope with but I did ask for a smoking room so I can not complain too much

Overall: That there was no lift to the upper floor. that was our only problem

Good stuff: Rooms are of a reasonable standard with everything in good working condition.

Bad stuff: The rooms we were alocated were next to the road and traffic continued beyond midnight and started again very early. Roadworls are taking place at the moment and my car was parked in the car park. Next morning it was completely filthy with dirt splashed up from the road.

Overall: It would have been nice to know about the roadworks. Also, if available it would have been nice to have been offered a choice of roadside rooms or not. The restaurant is acceptable but I have the feeling that it would only take a little for the standard to drop below acceptable.
